The Eagle

The sky -
Once clean, unending, full of life.

The eagle -
He took this vastness
And made it his domain,

Soaring through the air
With powerful thrusts of his wings.
A graceful, beautiful bird.

The sky -
Now polluted, dirty.

The eagle -
An endangered symbol of national pride.

Must we make him suffer
In this by-product of man's progress?

This is his world too.
Let him live.
